Black Out Poetry Evening

In collaboration with 3 Star Recreation Night, the Brussels Library presents Blackout Poetry.

April is poetry month. Become and instant poet by taking a page of an old magazine or book and marking out words with a permanent marker, leaving eye-catching words that will guide the theme of your poem. Your poem can be made up of single words or phrases or can read like a story. It is totally up to you.

Complete your poetry and then get on our "Open Mike" to recite their poem in any fashion you like. Sing, rap or act out your poetry. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place silly library prizes will be given away for best blackout poetry entries that evening. It's a game. It's fun.

Come drink, eat, and have fun creating some silly poetry at the 3 Star. No need to register. All supplies will be provided to participants. All for free.
