Family Game Day

Spending time with family, especially face-to-face communication as opposed to digital, significantly reduces the occurrence of depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses. Being physically present with loved ones creates a strong emotional support to keep you afloat during life’s challenges.

On average, kids who are spending time with family, tend to do better in school. They learn communication skills and the importance of education. When needed, assisting with assignments or new concepts reinforces the fact that their success is important to you. Even just asking about their day and what they’re learning will show your children how much you care.

Family Game Day is a perfect opportunity to get out of the house to have fun and spend quality time with your loved ones. Brussels Library is not a "shushy" academic space, especially during Family Game Day on the First Sunday of each month. We have a cart full of single session (classic and new) board games to choose from plus table space to play. Bring on the family competitiveness, laughter and fun during Sunday opening hours!
