Multi-Literacy Story Time

Stories, rhymes, and play that incorporate American Sign Language vocabulary.

Note: This event has already passed.

Join us for a story time that incorporates American Sign Language (ASL) vocabulary (sometimes called "Baby Sign Language") into storytelling, rhymes and play.

Studies show that use of ASL vocabulary helps alleviate communication frustration for babies and toddlers who develop movement control sooner than speech. For children of any age, multiple modes of communication strengthen their language acquisition capabilities.
