Winterfest Activities

We are celebrating 2020 with festive and joyful fun!  The weather outside may be frightful, but in the Benelux  it's delightful!

Nov 27-Dec 21: Cards Across the Benelux
Family and MWR supplies the "card" and you supply the cheer! Register for your card now through December 4 @BeneluxFMWRevents@gmail.com.  Decorate your card from December 5-10.  Card will be displayed December 11-21. 

Dec 4-Dec 25: Scavenger Hunt
Join teams with your family and go on a holiday hunt! Keep the photos you take for fun family memories or post pictures back to the Facebook post to  show your hard work and all the fun creative ways you completed your hunt. 

NOTE: This is not a contest, but a good old-fashioned opportunity for festive family bonding! Awwwww. Sweet!

Dec 4-18: Letters to Santa
Drop your letters to Santa in our boxes, located in the AAFES Food Court December 4-14 and Santa will choose a few letters to read LIVE on our USAG Benelux Family and MWR Facebook on December 18 beginning at 5 PM!  Letter will need to include child's first name, age, and community. 

Dec 11: A Very Virtual Holiday
Religious Support Group Invocation, Garrison Commander speech, Belgian children's choir, Santa's arrival, tree lighting, SHAPE International Band, and more! Watch the holiday festivities on December 11 on Facebook at 6 PM.

Dec 22-Jan 4: Holiday Contests!
Over $200 in prizes for holiday house, ugliest sweater or your most awkward family photo.  The photo contest will run through January 2, 2021.  Winners will be announced, via Facebook, on January 4, 2021.  Thank you to our sponsor, Andrews Federal Credit Union for your generous gift card prizes! Dec 24: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas
Listen as COL "Yaz" reads the holiday classic on Facebook.  This is the perfect poem to send your children off to bed as they dream of sugarplums dancing in their head.
