Join us for Strong BANDS throughout the month of May. This incentive is to promote and highlight opportunities for Soldiers and Families to stay fit. Please call the fitness center to register for events.

    • Throughout the month of May 10,000 Steps Daily Challenge 
      Did you know that 10,000 steps is estimated as the equivalent of 7.8 kilometers? During the month of May patrons will be encouraged to challenge themselves to log at least 10,000 steps each day. Patrons will log their steps through the Fitness Center by calling, or emailing through the 'email us' link on the Fitness Center page.  

    • Saturday, May 1 Weekend Workout 
      Fitness guru Antonio will set up a special workout to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the STRONG B.A.N.D.S. program! Call the fitness center to register. 

    • Saturday, May 15 1 Rep Max – 1,000/500 lbs. Challenge 
      Patrons interested in finding out their one-repetition maximum (the amount of weight one can lift once) in Bench Press, Deadlift and Squat. Call the fitness center to register.  Goal – a combined weight from the three events of 1,000 lbs. for males or 500 lbs. for females. 

    • Wednesday, May 19 Humpday Hike (10km) 
      Patrons will be invited to join in a guided 10km hike of Bois de la Cambre and the Sonian Forest. Meet-up at 9:30 am, expected duration 2.5-3 hours. Did you know that 10,000 steps is estimated as the equivalent of 7.8 kilometers?     • Thursday, May 27: Pre-Weekend Axe-travaganza
      Join us outside after work and learn the do's and dont's of axe throwing. Patrons will receive a lesson on safety and tips, and get to test their mettle against others. Call the fitness center to register.
